Space 1889 Red Devils By Jonathan Clements and The Stepes of Thoth by James Swallow These two sequential titles based on work by Frank Chadwick are produced by Noise Monster Productions, Horwich, Bolton UK. In the style of a Jewels Vern story, these travelers of space use a steam powered drive powered by solar collectors. The production values and acting are very good. In 1899, the ether ship Perbindesh approaches the red planet. Her passengers are an assembly of the great and the good. The Perbindesh carries a cargo of conspiracy and intrigue. Each CD runs 70 minutes. The CD booklet is very nicely done and includes bios of the main characters and a space chart. |
